  Terracotta column-krater This is a work accredited to Lydos from 550 BCE, it is an Ancient Greek bowl that has been painted. These style paintings are always interesting to be because of how easy they are able to display movement in a painting. The curvature of the vase assists in this but also the way the objects are painted to act as if they are walking. The contrasting colors make it easy to distinguish details in each object as well as the shape lines within the objects outlining details giving it more of a 3 dimensional feel. This painting seems to rely more on lines to create the form in the objects instead of changing the value of the colors. Depicted in the art is a scene based on a story of the Greek Gods telling a story of Hephaistos, Hera and Zeus.
